SEGULA Technologies Germany, part of the globally operating engineering group SEGULA Technologies, has relocated a key engineering development site in Germany from Rugbyring in Rüsselsheim to Motorworld Manufaktur Rüsselsheim. The new location provides the infrastructure required for the further development of SEGULA Technologies’ engineering activities in Germany.

The new facilities are located in the historic former Opel factory site, close to the main railway station. Motorworld Manufaktur Rüsselsheim combines industrial heritage with a modern working environment and a central location in the Rhine-Main region.

The new location provides dedicated office space as well as workshop areas for technical applications and hands-on development activities. The facilities offer flexible usage concepts and enable demand-oriented expansion. SEGULA Technologies Germany currently employs more than 400 engineers and designers across six locations in Germany, including around 180 employees in Rüsselsheim.

Rüsselsheim as Centre of Excellence

Within the SEGULA Technologies Group, Rüsselsheim has been designated as a Centre of Excellence for the calibration and refinement of combustion and hybrid powertrains in the automotive sector. As one of nine global Centres of Excellence, the site brings together specialised engineering expertise in a key development area and is closely integrated into SEGULA Technologies’ international network. This network enables technical know-how to be structured, further developed and made available across locations and customer projects worldwide, allowing engineering capabilities to be delivered more efficiently, scaled effectively and brought closer to industrial applications.
